Who we are

Modern motherhood, through the lens of the mother.

The Mother Chapter is an editorial publication and community focused on the mother herself—her identity, well-being, ambition, relationships and the realities of modern family life.

Founded by journalist Jenn Sinrich, our coverage brings together honest storytelling, expert-backed guidance and genuinely useful recommendations across postpartum, wellness, mental load, work, relationships, home and the many identity shifts that come with motherhood.

The Mother Chapter Awards extend that mission by recognizing what genuinely makes this chapter easier, more supported and more human.

01

Mother-centered

Every entry must demonstrate a meaningful benefit to the mother or modern family system—not simply use motherhood as a marketing angle.

02

Editorially selected

Winners are chosen through a published editorial methodology. Paying to enter does not buy recognition.

03

Useful beyond awards season

Winning selections should be products and resources we would feel comfortable recommending to our audience after the announcement itself.

The 2026 categories

Six submission categories will recognize products, services and resources supporting mothers and modern family life. Two additional editorial recognitions will be selected independently by The Mother Chapter.

Editorial recognition

The Mother Chapter Editor’s Pick

Reserved for exceptional products or services independently identified by our editorial team, including selections that were not entered through the submission process.

The process

How the 2026 Awards work

The inaugural program begins with a free early-interest period, followed by official paid submissions and an independent editorial review.

01

Join early interest

Brands, founders and agencies may share what they are considering entering. The form is free and is not the official application.

02

Apply beginning September 8

Each paid entry covers one specific product, service or resource entered into one category. Bundle options are available.

03

Editorial review

Every eligible submission is considered using our published methodology. Samples, demonstrations or access may be requested.

04

Winners are selected

Winners will be notified privately before appearing in our inaugural Awards coverage on November 10.

Important: Submission fees cover administrative processing and editorial review only. Payment does not guarantee eligibility, selection, coverage, promotion, winner status or permission to use an official Awards badge.
Entry options

Simple, transparent pricing

Official applications and payment open September 8. Joining the early-interest list is free and does not commit you to entering.

Single Entry

$150

One specific product, service or resource entered into one category.

Join Early Interest

Five-Entry Bundle

$600

Five entry credits for brands, product portfolios or agencies planning several submissions.

Join Early Interest
One entry means one specific product, service or resource entered into one category. Entering the same product in more than one category uses one credit per category. Each submission is reviewed independently, and bundle pricing creates no advantage in judging.

Editorial methodology

How winners are chosen

Entries will be reviewed by Jenn Sinrich and The Mother Chapter editorial team. Relevant experts may be consulted when specialized context is useful, but there will be no public voting or formal outside judging panel in 2026.

Reviews may draw on editorial experience, submitted information, publicly available materials, demonstrations, temporary account access, direct communication and limited hands-on use when appropriate. The Mother Chapter will never state that an entry was personally tested unless hands-on use actually occurred. Jenn Sinrich retains final editorial authority. Past or current advertisers, affiliate partners, clients and brands that have provided products are not automatically excluded from consideration. No financial or professional relationship guarantees or improves the likelihood of selection. Any material relationship relevant to a winning selection will be clearly disclosed in the corresponding editorial coverage.

Frequently asked questions

What brands and publicists need to know

Is the early-interest form the official application?
No. The current form is free and nonbinding. It allows brands and agencies to share what they may enter and receive official submission details before applications open September 8. Completing it does not guarantee review, recognition or placement.
Does paying the submission fee guarantee an award?
No. Submission fees cover administrative processing and editorial review only. Payment does not guarantee eligibility, selection, coverage, social promotion, newsletter inclusion or permission to use an official badge.
Can an agency submit multiple clients?
Yes. Three- and five-entry bundles may be used across multiple authorized clients, products or relevant categories. Every entry requires its own completed submission and is reviewed independently.
Can one product be entered into more than one category?
Yes, when it genuinely fits more than one published category. Each category uses one separate entry credit.
Are samples required?
Only when they are genuinely useful to the review. The Mother Chapter may request a product sample, demonstration, temporary account access or additional documentation. Receiving a sample never guarantees recognition.
Can a brand win without paying to enter?
Yes. The Mother Chapter may independently select Editor’s Picks to ensure the final Awards coverage reflects the strongest and most relevant recommendations for its audience.
Are submission fees refundable?
Fees are non-refundable after a completed entry has been received and editorial review has begun. Duplicate payments, technical billing errors and fees collected for a program canceled by The Mother Chapter will be refunded.
When will winners be announced?
Winners are expected to be notified privately between October 23 and October 30. The inaugural Awards coverage is scheduled to publish November 10, 2026.
